Inkfruit gets New Web Portal

I just gave you a sneak peak into the Inkfruit wesite and they have just launched their new website 3 hours ago!! Take a look! Seems good and more funky... though I think some bugs need to be fixed. And the link to their blog seems broken.

Blue Bus Tee interview

Just emailed the Blue Bus Tee guys with some questions, and well they replied quite promptly, so here is the first interview of this blog:
Your t-shirt brand is only available online? How far do you think the Indian market is ready for online apparel shopping?
Yes as of now we are only available online. We do hope to have an
offline presence as well in the future. In terms of expectations about
online shopping..... its been amazing and we are overwhelmed by it. There
is a long way to go , but people are open to shopping online
Why would the Indian market that goes for rastaa tees at 100/- per tee, buy a 300/- one online??
Our 300 Rs tees are better than any rasta 100 Rs tee, in terms of
material quality, print quality, and the service around it. Now days
people are online most of the time and they dont mind shopping online as
well. And guess what, we have a good number of returning customers.
Who do you think is your main competitor??
There is no competition. We believe our product and service is the best.

So readers what do you think?? Blue Bus Tees is only 2 month old a venture, anyone tried out their product yet?? Let me know....

Indian T-shirt Brands

Some time back I had put up a post talking about one of the new t-shirt start ups from Mumbai, Blue Bus Tees, I was wondering what they are upto. On perusing their site I found out that they had come to Malhar at Xavier's 2008, however the new tees for the month section is empty. It seems they are into some offline activities but online they haven't gotten down to making a mark yet!

I was looking at other indian brands like tantra. From what I understand, Tantra has not been making new designs, they have already made such a mark in the Indian market that the old designs keep translating to sales. What I would like to know is, what plans do they have further for their brand? 

Myntra has started really foraging into Tshirts! In fact I believe their website has gotten a rehaul since I last checked it out. Currently they have this 'green' contest running! They also have this Rs 99 corner where a bunch of tees are available for 99/-

There is also People Tree, this online shoppe has a very quaint feel to it. It makes me think of a little shop with interesting stuff to sell. The stuff is timeless and the same but it sells, and people would buy it again :)

Any brands I missed?? Let me know...

DBH- Shirt of the Week

For you guys who are into funky tshirts, Designs by Humans should be your favourite haunt!! Though the costs are high, most DBH tees are available for $20, which translates into almost 1,000 INR! 

We can always go to their site for eye candy :p and designing tips...
